In today’s world, family day is as overwhelming in our everyday life as because of these long working hours and traveling, people are not always close to their home. Over this weekend, after watching a movie, I noticed a change in me which was truly important in my life.
I have seen my close friends suffer a lot like personal losses, changing priorities and a lot. Earlier I used to chatter a lot online, I was an all-time user of Twitter and Google+, but now I hardly use any of these channels. I even use Facebook on a lesser basis to connect with my friends and family who live geographically far.
I need some meaningful connections and friendships instead of some fake followers. In short, I want to live a purposeful and meaningful life.
USE THINGS, NOT PEOPLE
As I watched a documentary and it changed my mindset. Things to people are so important that people for their own good, use other people. Life is really isn’t about buying the cars, big houses, electronics and stock of unused products. The pressure of having everything to maintain a status is futile
One a beautiful quote I have ever read is,“…we need to love people and use things because the opposite of that never works.”
With every interaction we make in our day, it is not that difficult to do this. It is such a powerful concept to give people time and love and in return world will bless you with the same. These things will actually make you happy which you can’t buy.
PUT TOGETHER, INSTEAD OF GETTING EXHAUSTED
Speak to people through technology instead of dictating it. Smile, don’t look angry, avoid meanness and surround yourself with meaning. Things are just objects and don’t have any meaning. The most important things are people who make us feel alive and connect with us, make our lives truly blissful.
So, Use Things, not People.
