If you are a creative person, you will always hate your previous work as you constantly evolve with time. This is the hardest part as you always want to grow, grow for better and become best and you will always find someone better than you but and trust me; this is the best part as this will what makes you work hard. It takes a lot of experience to become a creator or an artist. It takes a lot of dedication and practice to bring the best from you.
With the creativity comes the criticism, love the criticism if it is constructive. With constructive I mean if someone is taking his/her time to read or analyze your art and tell you what they like or dislike about it, appreciate it. Be grateful that they are investing time in you and sharing their opinions with you just for your betterment. When you know your weakness and someone else also tells you after going through your art that will make you work more on it in future.
But when comes the destructive criticism, the one which covers itself under criticism but is actually to disgrace the work, don’t make it affect you. It’s cool these days to make fun of others and their works. People who don’t understand creativity and artwork usually put other people’s work down. Instead of appreciating it they claim their work to be better and indulge into competing.
This is where you see that who is creative and who is not. Artist doesn’t use social media to belittle the other artist. One must respect the other person’s work for mutual respect. Commenting on someone’s art publically that ‘it sucks’ or something like that will not let you grow in life, progress or get better. If you can’t respect the other artist, ignore it then.
Because when you work creatively in a human race, your competition is you. Artists are in desperate need to become better from what they were before. In reality, they are their own competitor.
